Yacht Painting & Coating
Yacht painting and protective coating services by our own experienced specialists. Our mobile teams work across Europe by prior arrangement, providing surface preparation, local paint repairs and repainting of hulls, decks and superstructures within an agreed scope.
Master Ocean provides yacht painting and protective coating services for hulls, decks, superstructures and associated components. All work is carried out by our own specialists with practical experience in yacht repair and refit.
Before proposing a coating plan, we assess the substrate, existing paint system and visible defects. Our inspection considers fading, peeling, cracking, scratches, corrosion and previous repairs. Where necessary, further checks help establish whether the existing coating can be retained or needs to be removed.
Our services include cleaning and degreasing, removal of deteriorated coatings, sanding, local filling and surface fairing. Preparation methods are selected according to the substrate and the requirements of the proposed coating system. Underlying laminate damage, metal deterioration or other defects requiring repairs are assessed before painting.
We carry out local paint repairs, partial repainting and more extensive repainting projects. Primers, intermediate coats and finishing coats are selected for compatibility with the substrate, existing coatings and intended use. Colour, sheen and the desired finish are agreed before work begins, with sample areas prepared where appropriate.
For steel and aluminium surfaces, preparation and protective coatings are planned around the condition of the metal and its corrosion protection requirements. For fiberglass surfaces, we assess the existing gelcoat or paint and prepare the surface for the agreed finish. Non-slip deck coatings can be included where suitable. Antifouling and underwater coating work are specified separately or included as an agreed part of the project.
Painting is planned around suitable application conditions, including temperature, humidity, ventilation, dust control and the coating manufacturer’s drying and curing requirements. Masking, protection of nearby surfaces and any required enclosure or access equipment are agreed in advance.
Our mobile teams travel to your yacht across Europe by prior arrangement. Depending on the scope and application method, work is carried out in a shipyard, a suitable painting facility or another approved work area. Berth-side work is arranged only where the location and working conditions are suitable. Haul-out, scaffolding, component removal and workshop requirements are agreed where necessary.
Each project starts with a defined scope, quotation and schedule. Additional defects discovered during preparation, and any resulting extra work or costs, are submitted for approval before proceeding. After completion, we inspect the finish and carry out the coating checks specified within the agreed scope.
Send us your yacht’s make, model, length and location, together with photographs of the areas to be painted. Include details of the existing coating where known, your preferred colour and finish, and your desired completion date to request an assessment.
