Yacht Hull Repair
Yacht hull inspection, damage repairs and surface restoration by our own experienced technicians. Our mobile repair teams work across Europe by prior arrangement, repairing fibreglass, gelcoat and metal hulls within an agreed scope.
Master Ocean inspects and repairs yacht hulls, addressing impact damage, cracks, damaged laminate, corrosion and surface defects. All work is carried out by our own technicians with practical experience in yacht repair and refit.
We assess the affected area, the hull material and the condition of the surrounding structure before proposing a repair. Where necessary, coating removal, moisture checks, thickness measurements or further inspection help establish the extent of the damage and define the work required.
For fibreglass hulls, our services include local laminate repairs, replacement of damaged material, gelcoat repairs and surface fairing. Where damage involves a sandwich structure, we assess the condition of the core and include its repair or replacement where required. Suspected osmosis or more extensive deterioration is assessed before a treatment plan is agreed.
For steel and aluminium hulls, we provide local plating repairs and replacement, welding repairs and work on associated structural elements within the agreed scope. Structural repairs are planned according to the relevant repair specification, with surveyor involvement, inspections and approvals arranged where applicable.
After completing the underlying repair, we prepare the area for a compatible finish. Fairing, primer, gelcoat, paint or underwater protective coatings are included according to the hull material, existing finish and agreed scope. Colour and finish matching are assessed before work begins.
Our mobile repair teams travel to your yacht across Europe by prior arrangement. Depending on the repair, work is carried out at its berth, in a shipyard or another suitable work area. Underwater hull repairs and work requiring dry access are arranged ashore. Haul-out, vessel support, lifting equipment and workshop requirements are agreed in advance where necessary.
Each project starts with a defined scope, quotation and schedule. Additional damage discovered during preparation, and any resulting extra work or costs, are submitted for approval before proceeding. After completion, we inspect the repaired areas and carry out the checks or testing specified for the project.
Send us your yacht’s make, model, length, location and hull material, together with photographs of the affected area. Include a description of the damage, any available survey findings or previous repair information, and your preferred completion date to request an assessment.
